Technology Challenge #9
Digital Technologies- Representing data through infographics
Using data found here ABS Australian Social Trends and here NAP-ICT I created the below infographics using Canva.com. I personally prefer viewing an infographic than sorting through data which may not all be entirely applicable to what I am searching for. An infographic is a visually pleasing format to succinctly display pertinent information and which allows the reader to quickly see what data is being presented.
Infographics have become a powerful tool for visual communication in today's digital age. By incorporating infographic design into the curriculum across different grade levels, students not only learn valuable digital literacy skills but also enhance their ability to represent information in a visually engaging way. Through learning activities and guided instruction, students can explore various topics, conduct research, and creatively present their findings in the form of colorful and informative infographics. Through Digital Technologies, in particular- data representation, students can be creative develop critical thinking skills which also equips students with valuable skills that are increasingly relevant in today's information-driven world.
